Unreliable Narrator (Tags)

In the case of a first-person narrative, the narrator may be outright lying to the audience. In other cases, they may mis-remember, mis-interpret, or otherwise convey inaccurate information during their narration. They could be hallucinating, malicious, or even just biased and a little bit confused.
